Official Rules for the Scavenger Quest

The judges’ decision is final. No complaining, whining or appealing to the Hillcrest Centennial committee. Sign and attach this form to your “answer sack” (see website).

1. Goal: Collect 100 items/answers to questions from around the Hillcrest area before noon on Thursday, August 2, 2007.

2. Eligibility: Contestants must be 18+ at the time of entry. Participants are subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. By participating, entrants agree to these official rules and accept the decisions of the Hillcrest Centennial committee as final in all matters relating to your quest.

3. To Enter: A prize will be awarded on August 2, 2007 at 6pm in the Joyce Beers Community Center to the entrant with the most winning answers in their collection. The list will first be available at the Hillcrest Town Council meeting on July 10, 2007, then posted on HillQuest.com that evening. All entries must be turned in no later than August 2, 2007 at noon (corner of Fifth & University avenues). Prior to August 2, entries may be turned in to 3742 Seventh Avenue, Unit B during daylight hours. (Call 260-1929 first.)

4. Prize Drawing Details: Entries that tie with the most correct answers/items will be entered in a drawing as the sole winner of the Scavenger Quest.

5. Prize Notification:  The winner will be notified in person at the Thursday, August 2nd Hillcrest Centennial neighborhood social (at Joyce Beers Community Center), by telephone, mail or by e-mail. If the Hillcrest Centennial committee is unable to contact the winner for any reason, the prize will be forfeited and will be awarded to the participant in second place. All entrants must consent to the use of their name and photo.

6. General Conditions:  By participating in the Hillcrest Centennial Scavenger Quest entrants will release, indemnify and hold harmless the committee and any related parties from and against any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions or any liability of any kind resulting from or arising from participation in the scavenger hunt or acceptance, possession, use, misuse or nonuse of the awarded prize.
